Volunteer Opportunities
Jump Houses, Combos, Slides, Obstacle Courses
Volunteers can assist our professional staff in the following ways to keep your rental costs at a bare bone minimum;
Notification; All amusement rides operating at an event requires notice to the NJ State Department Of Community Affairs (DCA) to be provided. We will take care of all NJ STATE requirements and notices while you need to take care of any City/Township requirements and/or permits
1) Volunteer stationed (all obstacles and slides) at the front of the obstacle help to prepare the children by telling them where to place their shoes, earings and hats. This person may be a ticket collector.
2) Volunteer stationed (all obstacles) at the exit of the unit to signal to our professional staff that since we send two riders in at a time, always, that two riders have exited the unit. This person also reminds the children to come FEET FIRST down the slide. Riders who do not come down feet first are in serious danger of injury and must not be permitted to continue to ride if they do this.
3) Volunteers stationed near the big slide (Sports Obstacle and Supreme Obstacle) caution the children to go 'FEET FIRST down the slide.' Voluneers also make sure children are able to climb up the ladder/pull rope or help them exit the unit at the mid point.
4) Volunteer stationed at the basketball hoop area in the Sports Obstacle makes this section 'come alive' for many children who may not want to do the obstacle course but love the opportunity to play a game of basketball or just 'shoot some hoops.'

To keep your game rental as inexpensive as possible we are providing a bare bones staff and you promise to provide volunteers to assist with this event. If your school, camp or church wants to have this event fully staffed by our company like we do with company events it is $1,000.00 more than the school, camp and church carnival game package. Just let us know if you would prefer the company package.
Tables, games, canopy tents, cones and ropes are all setup and taken down by your volunteers, not our staff. Our game event supervisor will direct your volunteers on how to setup and take down all needed items mentioned above. You will need to either complete the Volunteer Sign Up Form and send it to us at least two days prior to your event or post a $100.00 volunteer bond. This bond is the cost of our staff to setup and takedown the game rental if your volunteers are not available to do this work.
1) Each Game must be supervised by a volunteer or the game will not be 'open' for play.
2) Game volunteers should be assigned to a game and a time slot initially.
3) We rotate game volunteers among the games to make it more fair for all the volunteers. It is very unfair when one person decides they have found their 'perfect' easy game and does not want to rotate to give other volunteers a chance for an easier game, or a chance to get out of the sun.
World of Sports:
This game inflatable is not a ride so does not come under NJ Carnival Amusement Ride Safety law with the Department of Community Affiars who regulate amusement rides in the state of NJ. Volunteers completely supervise this unit, our staff does not. One volunteer must be at the Air T Ball section at all times to ensure bystanders do not approach the 'batter' and get struck by the bat. The other sections are also supervised by volunteers, but the number of volunteers may vary based on amount of players. Game pieces may be removed until suitable volunteers are in position. You are responsible for the return of all game peices which include two of each; footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, darts, Frisbees, bats and several lightweight air TBalls.
Health and Social Benefits of Inflatable Air Castles and Obstacle Courses
by Debra Henderson, MS, 2013
Inflatable bouncers, jump houses, and obstacle courses, are often thought of as recreational devices for children's parties, school field days, church carnivals and company parties, though they provide excellent opportunities for healthy activity too. The inflatable play structures kids love provide exercise for a healthy heart, increase lung capacity, and muscle building through activities such as sustained cardio-vascular fitness, endurance, enhancement of proprioception, development of physical education skills and psychomotor skills of climbing up, over, under, around and through objects in a safe environment as well as negotiating correct sliding positions as the body moves through space. There is also a strong social skills component as children cooperate in a designated jump space or traverse through an obstacle course together. So let them jump, bounce, climb through an obstacle course and slide down an inflatable slide knowing it isn't just fun and games! They are having fun, staying healthy and learning new skills!
